Summary
Join Canonical, a leading open-source software provider, as a Technical Product Marketing Manager. You will develop and execute go-to-market strategies for our global infrastructure portfolio. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and security teams. You will translate technical capabilities into compelling messaging and content, driving awareness and adoption. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical understanding, strategic marketing expertise, and a passion for technology. This remote EMEA-based position offers opportunities for international travel and professional development.
Requirements
- Experience in a marketing function for enterprise IT products
- Passion for the cybersecurity industry and cybersecurity marketing
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation
- Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
- Passion for technology evidenced by personal projects and initiatives
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
- Thoughtfulness and self-motivation
- Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
- Ability to travel internationally four times a year for company events
Responsibilities
- Lead the go-to-market strategy and execution for Canonicalβs range of infrastructure products such as OpenStack, Kubernetes and MicroCloud, including messaging and positioning
- Track the competitive landscape and emerging trends to define product differentiation and value drivers
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand product roadmaps, and customer use cases
- Translate technical product capabilities into clear, differentiated messaging for key personas
- Own campaign and content planning for the infrastructure portfolio
- Use data and insights to iterate on demand generation strategies and optimize conversion throughout the funnel
- Work with other teams to plan events, webinars and support messaging for paid and social media promotion
