Technical Program Manager

Summary

Join Muon Space as a Technical Program Manager to lead multidisciplinary aerospace development, driving daily program execution. You will engage with stakeholders, synchronize technical teams, track program metrics, and serve as the company's face to clients and vendors. Success requires a B.S. in engineering (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred), 5+ years of relevant program management experience, and a proven track record of delivering complete systems. Expertise in satellite systems, modern productivity tools, and vendor/contract management is essential. The salary range is $129K-$205K, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, disability, life insurance, paid time off, and parental leave.

Requirements

• B.S. in an engineering discipline, M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
• 5 years relevant experience in program management
• Track record of successfully delivering complete systems (hardware, firmware, software, algorithms) on time, to scope, with high quality
• Experience in development and/or program management of satellite based systems. Ability to instantiate and manage integrated master schedules
• Expertise in modern, cloud-based productivity tools
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines
• Experience in vendor and contract management

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary aerospace development effort, driving day-to-day execution of the program
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to plan and coordinate the resources necessary to execute the program
• Synchronize a diverse technical team by establishing tools, practices, and process
• Participate in technical discussions, ask probing questions, and work with the team to pull together scoping, schedules, and solutions to issues
• Track and report program metrics on schedule, resource, cost, risk, and technical performance
• Serve as the face of the company to customers, subcontractors and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

• System engineering and experience with inter-discipline technical trade study
• Experience working with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Julia) and database queries (e..g SQL, BigQuery)  for data integration, analysis, and dashboarding
• Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment
• Experience managing and growing teams
