Summary

Propelus Solutions is seeking a dynamic Technical Program Manager to join their team. The TPM will lead and manage technology projects, drive decision-making, collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize processes, manage risks, engage stakeholders, support Agile practices, and have 3+ years of software development experience and 5+ years of technical program management experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Effective negotiation skills; be able to make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. cost), and drive appropriate schedules, while being willing to readjust priorities to ensure the right customer, technology, and engineering outcomes
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
  • Well-developed organizational skills, and a successful track record of coordinating between multiple project stakeholders, TPMs, and software development teams
  • Foster a culture of candor and respect, facilitating communication at all levels
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, collaborative, and results-driven approach to project management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to scope
  • Represent difficult trade-off decisions and solutions clearly to leaders and stakeholders to help them understand recommendations and options
  • Work closely with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines
  • Facilitate smooth communication across teams to ensure alignment and efficient progress
  • Apply best practices in project management, continuously seeking ways to improve existing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the stability and success of the project
  • Maintain regular communication with all project stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and milestones
  • Support and promote Agile methodologies within project teams, assisting with Agile ceremonies and ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles
