This remote-first role, primarily based in the US with occasional travel to Europe, supports the sales process through demos, workshops, data analysis, and client support. Requirements

  • Education in Maths, Physics, or Engineering
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to work seamlessly with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail
  • Very comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working under tight deadlines, while keeping a high level of quality in your work
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R or VBA….)
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft office tools
  • Great ability to learn!

Responsibilities

  • Manage client and prospects onboarding and service, from communication and advisory, to technical support and debugging
  • Implement solutions and case studies with clients: understand client challenges, and develop adapted demos / structure pilots for them
  • Perform portfolio analysis and modelling
  • Engage in scripting / problem solving through code
  • Support early-stage commercial funnel such as product marketing and representing Granular Energy in industry associations (e.g. CEBA, SEPA) and at industry events
  • Support business development activity by helping with anything that involves data work (timeseries cleaning and reformatting, data summaries and checks, building of Excel tools)
  • Figure out business context from data: analysing and transforming of client data (Excel spreadsheets). Modelling of portfolios and deriving solutions such as solving of optimization problems (algorithms / python scripts)
  • Translate technical and product related concepts into non-technical language and visualizations for clients
  • Ask questions to identify our clients’ needs during the sales process and tailor demo case studies for them, as well as run workshops
  • Offer technical support during onboarding and after to our signed customers. Whether it involves debugging their usage of one or our APIs, or explaining the details behind a calculated metric they questioned (examples)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in front-office support / commando scripting, with exposure to various system
  • Experience / first internship in an energy company, or any industry that involves similar functions (trading, portfolio management, …)
  • Experience in finance, audit, consulting
