Summary
Join High Tech Genesis USA as a Technical Sales Engineer in San Francisco (remote option available) for a permanent position. You will support sales by conducting product demonstrations, webinars, and technical information sessions for current and prospective clients. Responsibilities include assisting channel partners with hardware and software sales, supporting product discovery and sales to specific industry sectors, tracking performance against KPIs, interfacing with post-sales support, working on customer proposals, and supporting post-sales product configuration. This role requires significant experience in technical sales within the energy industry and a strong understanding of power electronics and relevant communication protocols. A bachelor's degree in engineering from a top-tier university is also required.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience supporting selling in a technical and product-focused role in the energy industry
- Working knowledge of power electronics
- Working knowledge of EV charging communication protocols (ISO 15118) and DER integration protocols (IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR)
- Working knowledge of IoT communication protocols
- Ability and willingness to travel; 25%+ in the US
- Bachelors in Engineering from top tier university or equivalent
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the USA
Responsibilities
- Support Business Development and Sales with product demonstrations, webinars, and other technical product information sessions, for prospective or existing customers
- Support the adoption of hardware and software product sales by channel partners through technical sales assistance
- Support technical product discovery and sales to Utilities and Aggregators, EV Manufacturers, and Residential Solar & Storage Equipment Manufacturers
- Track performance against KPIs based on metrics inc. request volume and time to close, conversion rate, key sales activity and cost tracking
- Interface with post-sales Integration Support for evaluation of post-sales product integration work required
- Work on customer proposals, including RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, and grant funding opportunities
- Support post sales product configuration with Technical Integration Team
