Technical Writer

Summary

Join IOHK's Midnight Tribe as a Technical Writer and play a crucial role in creating clear and concise documentation for developers using the Midnight Network blockchain platform. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to understand the technology and its use cases. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive technical documentation (user guides, API documentation, developer manuals, release notes, tutorials), collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring user-centric design, and gathering stakeholder feedback. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, proven technical writing experience, and proficiency in relevant tools. A solid understanding of blockchain technology is desirable. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Communications, Technical Writing) or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your previous work
• Proficiency in tools commonly used for technical writing, such as Markdown, Git, Docusaurus, revision control, and documentation platforms
• Experience with programming and using APIs
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to research and gather information from various sources, including technical specifications, development teams, and subject matter experts
• A strong focus on the end user
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Adaptability to changing project requirements and a willingness to revise and update documentation as needed

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to build a deep understanding of Midnight's technology and its key use cases
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, developer manuals, and release notes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and edit documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Ensure that all documentation is designed with a user-centric perspective, making complex topics accessible to a diverse audience
• Create tutorials and step-by-step guides to assist developers and users in implementing Midnight’s technology effectively
• Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, any relevant regulatory requirements, and best practices
• Gather feedback from stakeholders and the developer community to continuously improve documentation quality and usability
