Summary
Join VetsEZ as a Training Specialist to modernize the Department of Veterans Affairs' clinical contact centers. You will design and develop engaging e-learning content and supporting materials using Articulate360 for various clinical workflows across virtual care platforms. Collaborate with subject matter experts, host live training sessions, and ensure training materials meet accessibility standards. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a training environment
- Proficiency with Articulate360 or similar e-learning authoring tools
- Experience creating job aids and instructional support materials
- Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex workflows
- Comfortable delivering live training and supporting a broad learner base
- Excellent attention to detail and document management skills
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging, web-based training using Articulate360 (Storyline, Rise)
- Create supplemental materials such as job aids, facilitation guides, and quick-reference tools
- Collaborate with training leads and subject matter experts to assess needs and define learning objectives
- Host live sessions (e.g., office hours, train-the-trainer) to support learners and trainers
- Translate complex clinical and technical processes into accessible training content for diverse audiences
- Participate in content reviews, pilot sessions, and continuous improvement cycles
- Maintain version control of training documents and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Support virtual and in-person training sessions and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Ensure training materials comply with Section 508 accessibility standards and VA requirements
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare, telehealth, or virtual care training
- Familiarity with Section 508 standards, LMS platforms, and content management tools
- Instructional design or e-learning certification (e.g., ATD, CPTD, CTT+)
- Ability to obtain Federal Government clearance
