Summary
Join our team as a Travel Operations Specialist and provide high levels of customer service to travel agent partners and servicing their clients' bookings. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the Amadeus GDS airline system, ARC reporting and billing, and airline and hotel procedures.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of the Amadeus GDS airline system (ticket exchanges, schedule changes, ticketed vs. ticketless airlines, name changes/corrections)
- Similar experience with another GDS will be considered
- Working knowledge of ARC reporting and billing
- Working knowledge of airline and hotel procedures and policies and knowing where to find updated information
- Learn and understand the product of each hotel vendor
- Must be very detailed oriented
- Must be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, etc
- Fluent in English language, both written and spoken is required. Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Working with pre-, during-, and postβtravel reservations
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with travel agents/travel suppliers/internal teams
- Ability to prioritize work based on established company process and work within a deadline driven environment
- Able to learn quickly and apply foundational knowledge to resolve each individual situation
- Able to seek out multiple solutions to a given problem, resolving issues and troubleshooting technical problems
- Able to work effectively both on your own and within a team environment
- Demonstrate excellent individual and cooperative organizational skills
- Able to quickly build a positive rapport and interact effectively with team members, travel agents, and supplier representatives
- Able to manage and resolve conflict quickly and successfully
- Provide consistent, dependable, and accurate follow through with responsibilities to successful completion
- Ability to prioritize daily responsibilities and demonstrate good time management
- Gather appropriate level of information needed to make decisions
- Escalate issues to upper management when appropriate
Benefits
This is a contracted remote position with hours Monday through Friday (flexible shift choice from 8:30am - 5:00pm EST OR 9:00am β 5:30pm EST OR 9:30am β 6:00pm EST)
