Traveling Field Technician

Summary

Join our team as a Traveling Field Technician and embark on an exciting journey of on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of technical systems and equipment. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure the proper functioning of systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certifications or relevant vocational training is a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar field technician role, field experience in an agricultural environment – an advantage
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing technical equipment
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to think quickly and make decisions in high-pressure situations
• Must have a desire to travel extensively overnights throughout the U.S and work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary
• Ability to work in field settings and outdoors, in a Bee environment

Responsibilities

• On-site Installation and Setup: Travel to different field locations to install and set up technical equipment
• Ensure that installations are completed according to specifications and meet quality standards
• Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, performing repairs as needed
• Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex problems
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, maintenance activities, and repairs
• Prepare detailed reports on service visits, including findings and solutions implemented
