Join Chamberlain College of Nursing as a Part-Time Online Visiting Professor and share your expertise in our MSN program. This 100% online teaching position offers incredible flexibility. We seek candidates with a passion for nursing education and a commitment to student success. We provide thorough training through our New Faculty Orientation. The position requires a DNP or PhD, FNP certification, and teaching experience. Compensation is competitive and depends on education and experience.
Requirements
- Be certified as FNP by AANP or ANCC
- Have clinical experience as FNP
- Hold a DNP, PhD, EdD, or other relevant doctoral degree
- Have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience with a background in precepting students
- Possess an active, unencumbered Compact RN nursing license
- Have at least a temporary Illinois RN License or be willing to obtain one before March 2025
- Possess subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
- Have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
- Be proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx/Teams (or similar platform), and the Internet, with a strong emphasis on Excel and using up to 4 interfaces: Canvas, Camsoft, iHuman, Metrics
Responsibilities
- Teach students in the MSN program, specifically NR-601: Primary Care of the Maturing and Aged Family Practicum
- Expand students' knowledge of health-assessment principles specific to the role of the FNP
- Focus on common health problems and healthcare needs of middle-aged and older adults and families
- Explore, analyze, apply, and evaluate chronic health conditions frequently encountered in the primary care of older adults
- Develop students' skills related to patient education, protocol development, follow-up, and referral through a clinical practicum experience
