VP of Business Development in Worldwide

Summary

The VP of Business Development will help guide the growth of the Kadena ecosystem through strategic planning and decision making. They will interface with various departments, manage budgets, oversee grants programs, source partnerships, recruit and manage team members, and cultivate relationships. The candidate should have extensive experience in business development, operations, and mentoring, as well as familiarity with cryptocurrency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of financial and/or business development experience
• 5+ years of experience in complex business operations and planning
• 5+years of experience mentoring individuals on business and management aspect
• Ability to create institutional-grade spreadsheets and presentations

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with Kadena’s leadership and iterate on business strategies
• Define and manage a comprehensive budget for the Business Development department
• Oversee Kadena grants program [targeting >$10M granted annually]
• Source and manage key partnerships for Kadena
• Actively recruit, manage, mentor, and train members of the Business Development team
• Cultivate strong relationships while actively prospecting new business opportunities
• Interface with marketing department for community and communications
• Interface with engineering department for technical review of grants and partnerships
• Maintain up-to-date docs of goal progress and timelines
• Liaise with Kadena ecosystem companies and assist with business and managerial needs

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or familiarity with cryptocurrency is a big plus
