Summary
Join Discord as a Web Manager and contribute to the Core Platform Marketing team's site strategy execution and operation. You will manage project deliverables and OKRs throughout their digital lifecycle, overseeing the delivery of all discord.com marketing projects from ideation to execution. This role involves working with various teams, including Product, Social, Video, Experiential, Comms, Legal, Policy, CX, Data, and Creative, to build and manage Discord's web presence through discord.com as an extension of its product. You will be responsible for leading the production of new discord.com projects, drafting plans and timelines, highlighting potential risks, managing front-end and back-end development, coordinating internal and external resources, supporting the construction and maintenance of discord.com architecture, identifying and scoping technical issues, and collaborating with product engineering to ensure a flawless user experience.
Requirements
- You bring an exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for digital content integrity
- Experience communicating with empathy cross-functionally to influence and educate on website development and processes
- 6+ years of experience managing websites & website content production
- Proven work experience as a digital project manager
- Hands-on experience with project management software such as Notion, Asana
- Strong level of proficiency in front-end Webflow development, including: A strong command of the Webflow interface, including its panel for elements, styles, basic and advanced interactions, and CMS features to be able to support site content creation and updates
- Ability to use Webflowโs custom code integration to implement more complex interactive elements, custom forms, third-party integrations, and other site experiences beyond the native Webflow interface
- Understanding of development for cross-browser compatibility in Webflow using CSS styles and interactions
- Familiarity with Webflow page optimization techniques including image compression, minifying CSS and JavaScript, and utilizing Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to reduce load times
- Excellent organization and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead the production of new discord.com projects from design concept through completion, including site updates and revisions
- Draft plans, processes, and timelines to clearly align, operationalize, and guide our team and agency resources on site development projects
- Be a connector across MarComm, Product, Engineering, and Policy teams to help build and manage Discordโs web presence through discord.com as an extension of our product
- Highlight potential project risks, help solve project progress blockers, and support the web team in proactively solving issues related to our web CMS and marketing site stack. Develop support documentation including risk logs and requirement specifications for our ongoing digital channel efforts
- Manage the front & back-end development of web projects as well as the upkeep of our content management system (CMS) via content management, audits, and structural updates
- Help coordinate internal and external (agency or freelance) resources for writing, graphic design, SEO, and other asset creation related to discord.com
- Support the construction & maintenance of both new and existing discord.com architecture from concept through completion. Test compatibility, monitor online traffic, and ensure site functionality and security alongside our engineering teams
- Identify, scope, and triage technical issues both reactively and proactively across our web stack. Collaborate closely with product engineering to ensure a flawless user experience between our website and product

Benefits
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000 to $175,500 + equity + benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role and level
- Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
