This role, based in Santa Barbara, CA or remotely in the U.S., requires hands-on WMS implementation experience and strong communication skills. You will perform customer discovery, convert requirements into ShipHawk operational flows, assess software gaps, identify operational process improvements, guide user acceptance testing, manage the transition to customer support, and collaborate effectively with the team. Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in customer-facing WMS implementations
- Strong verbal and written communication…the ability to converse fluently on various warehouse activities and universal WMS features
Responsibilities
- Perform discovery with the customer to surface all relevant packing and shipping requirements in the customer’s business. The SE must have a deep understanding of both North American and international shipping conventions, and distribution facility packing and shipping operations
- Convert customer receiving, picking, packing, and shipping requirements into ShipHawk operational flows. The SE must have a detailed knowledge of the ShipHawk Warehouse Management system’s capabilities and must be skilled at adapting those physical system operations into software configuration
- Assess and scope any gaps in ShipHawk software that will impact the customer’s ability to optimize the software’s benefit to the customer’s business. Provide detailed information to the development team to ensure that development efforts successfully fill in the gap
- Identify operational process changes that will allow the customer to maximize the benefit they get from using ShipHawk software. Communicate to the customer regarding these operational changes in a way that convinces them to move forward
- Guide the customer through a full range of user acceptance testing to ensure that the customer tests every packing and shipping requirement surfaced during discovery
- Review configuration and testing completeness in preparation for going live
- Manage the transition of the customer from implementation to ongoing customer support. Engage the customer support team to familiarize them with the customer and make the transition a seamless one
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing a shipping or logistics platform
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Experience with Acumatica
- Strong SQL skills
- Working knowledge of any of the following HTML, CSS, APIs (including Postman), JavaScript
