Workforce Development Consultant

Summary

Join Kaizen as a Workforce Development Consultant for a project focused on upskilling and reskilling Ukraine's workforce. This 20-day contract (January 30, 2025 – May 30, 2025) involves contributing to a USAID-funded activity aimed at filling critical job vacancies. The role requires travel to Ukraine, participation in stakeholder meetings and design workshops, and providing technical inputs for proposal development. The consultant will work closely with the Kaizen team and submit deliverables to the Business Development Manager. The position requires experience working in Ukraine/Eastern Europe, knowledge of Ukrainian private sector needs, and expertise in upskilling initiatives. Remote work is possible.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in Ukraine and/or Eastern Europe
• Experience in Upskilling the Ukrainian workforce; Building employee-employer linkages; Improving employment support for target groups; and improving the labor market enabling environment
• Current knowledge of Ukrainian private sector employment needs
• Knowledge of the skills gap in Ukraine

Responsibilities

• Travel to Ukraine as part of the capture team
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders in Ukraine
• Attend scheduled technical design workshops, including capture debrief
• Provide inputs for the Pink Team draft
• Serve as reviewer for the Pink Team draft and provide comments for the Red Team draft
• Red Team Review and comments
• Any other tasks as mutually agreed upon by the Consultant and Kaizen
