Summary
Join CoinGecko, a leading cryptocurrency data platform, as an API Sales professional based in Malaysia or Singapore. You will manage the end-to-end sales process, exceeding targets, and contributing to revenue growth. Responsibilities include consultative sales, identifying upsell opportunities, executing sales strategies, forecasting, lead generation, and relationship management. You will also work with clients on technical requirements, conduct market research, and report on sales activities. Collaboration with internal teams and mentoring junior team members are also key aspects of this role. CoinGecko offers a transparent salary structure and various benefits.
Requirements
- You have 2-3 years of experience in driving Enterprise SaaS sales with a strong track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets, preferably in the startup or fintech industry
- You have a good understanding of CoinGecko’s products and a willingness to quickly develop deep expertise in our API offerings
- You have a solid understanding of the sales lifecycle, sales funnel, and qualification techniques
- You have experience using a CRM (e.g., HubSpot) to manage leads and sales activities
- You have a foundational understanding of or strong interest in API products and the SaaS business model
- You can manage multiple initiatives with a focus on meeting deadlines
- You are able to coordinate tasks, manage resources, and track progress to ensure successful project delivery
- You possess high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, ensuring top execution standards
- You are self-motivated, resourceful, and have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced and highly agile environment
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly
- You have good foundational negotiation skills and a desire to develop them further
- You are a natural leader who can work independently to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- You possess strong critical thinking skills and a passion for continuous learning, staying informed about Web3 and emerging technologies
- You have a keen interest in blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFT, web3, and metaverse topics
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end sales process to consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets
- Execute consultative sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
- Contribute to revenue growth by identifying and qualifying upsell opportunities within your assigned accounts and communicating them to the account management team
- Execute the established sales strategy and go-to-market plan
- Follow defined processes for prospecting, engagement, and closing deals
- Maintain an accurate sales forecast for your pipeline and report on progress towards monthly and quarterly targets
- Actively prospect and qualify new leads from marketing campaigns and outbound efforts to build a robust sales pipeline
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure a positive sales experience
- Log all communications accurately in the CRM
- Work with clients to understand their technical requirements and business objectives
- Prepare solution proposals and recommend suitable API plans with support from senior team members
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitive offerings to effectively position CoinGecko’s API in the market
- Track and report on all sales activities, pipeline status, and results using the CRM and other sales tools
- Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and follow established sales processes and playbooks to ensure operational efficiency
- Collaborate with internal support teams to ensure a smooth handover from sales to onboarding for new clients
- Assist in mentoring and training interns/junior team members
- Provide feedback on their work and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities within the team
- You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field is a plus
