Requirements

  • A strategic and consultative approach to sales, with a focus on building long-term, mutually beneficial client relationships
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to craft compelling proposals that align with client objectives and Pantheon's value proposition
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative in exploring and developing new business opportunities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure client success and satisfaction
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of sales activities
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and innovate in a startup-like environment, leveraging limited resources to achieve outsized results
  • 5+ years of SaaS or PaaS sales experience; start-up or early-stage company experience preferred, with at least 3+ years of outside sales or "hunting" experience
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the state and local government sector
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles and a solid understanding of government decision-making processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tailor solutions addressing the unique needs of government clients
  • Ability to adapt to evolving market trends, competitor strategies, and technological advancements in web development and hosting

Responsibilities

  • Expand Pantheon's presence within the state and local government sector
  • Drive new business growth
  • Build meaningful relationships with government agencies
  • Help public sector organizations unlock the full potential of Pantheon's WebOps platform
  • Build and foster strong, partnership-oriented relationships with key stakeholders, including Google Public Sector, Carahsoft, and other strategic partners
  • Work with cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure client success and satisfaction
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of sales activities
