Summary
Join Planet as an Account Executive and be responsible for prospecting and closing new Defense and Intelligence business within the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) Region. Identify, nurture, and close opportunities with new and existing customers. Manage forecasts and track customer data. Collaborate with internal departments to improve business velocity and create customer-centric solutions. This is a full-time, remote position, preferably located in Qatar or the UAE. The ideal candidate is energetic, enthusiastic, and results-oriented, with a proven ability to overachieve sales goals. High aptitude is valued over extensive experience. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in closing sales
- Relevant experience in the Defense and/or Intelligence industry
- Experience coordinating small to medium transactions
- Experience working within a quota and commission structure
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Experience using Salesforce.com
- Experience overachieving sales goals
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be self-motivated and have a results-oriented approach
- Bachelorβs degree
Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close a continuous pipeline of opportunities
- Maintain account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com
- Forecast business and sales pipeline as required by management
- Up and cross-sell opportunities, probe for additional contacts with projects/opportunities
- Achieve and surpass all stated goals for the position
- Work with Marketing to conduct seminars, assist with trade shows, and other marketing related events
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of ISR, GEOINT, remote sensing, or airborne imaging
- Previous vertical selling to defense or national security-focused ministries or agencies
- Experience overachieving quota within a B2B or B2C sales company
- Experience with AI/ML/CV analytic services for the Defense and Intelligence industry
- MENA account management experience with an established network
- Experience attending industry conferences such as IDEX, World Defense Show, DIMDEX, etc
- Knowledge of Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and email automation tools
