Summary
Join Rescale's Public Sector team in Washington, DC as an Account Executive! You will develop and grow relationships within the U.S. Public Sector, meeting or exceeding revenue quotas. Responsibilities include prospecting for new opportunities, engaging with government leaders, developing strategic account plans, and collaborating with colleagues. This role requires a proven track record of selling to the U.S. government, at least 4 years of experience selling complex software solutions, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be a U.S. citizen. Rescale offers a competitive compensation package and uncapped accelerators.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success selling to the U.S. government, preferably the Department of Defense or Department of Energy
- Minimum of 4 years selling complex software or technology solutions
- Demonstrated ability and excitement to source opportunities in the Public Sector
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong high-trust relationships with customers and understand their business needs
- Advanced organizational and account management skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced presentation and negotiation skills. Naturally persuasive and persistent to achieve goals
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships within the U.S. Public Sector including U.S. federal government agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of Energy, NASA, NOAA, Federal Systems Integrators, and the Defense Industrial Base
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas for your portfolio (both renewals and new business)
- Prospect for and qualify new opportunities within assigned territory; building short term and long term pipeline; closing new accounts
- Engage with and provide sales consulting to government leaders and their contractors
- Develop a deep understanding of customer objectives, use cases, and the landscape in which they operate. Creating and executing strategic account plans driven by this understanding
- Strategically consult with government customers on the requirements and capture process
- Produce and articulate business cases for prospective and existing customers in collaboration with our solutions architects and key strategic technology partners
- Leverage technology and software partners for co-selling and co-solutioning activities
- Travel to meet customers and prospects on-site, at industry conferences, and events
- Highlight customer developments and provide accurate forecasts on a regular basis to help guide the growth of Rescale Public Sector
- Collaborate with colleagues on the growing Rescale Public Sector team and teammates across the company to deliver value to customers
