Summary

Join SAM Labs, an award-winning EdTech startup, as an Account Executive! Based remotely in Northern California, you will drive revenue growth by engaging schools and districts. This role involves developing relationships with key decision-makers, converting leads into long-term partnerships, and exceeding revenue targets. You'll need 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in K12 education or EdTech, strong communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree. The position offers a competitive OTE package with uncapped commission, equity participation, health care benefits, and professional growth opportunities. Travel up to 50% of the time is required to visit schools and districts within the territory.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the K12 education or EdTech industry, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to clearly articulate the value of our products to educators and administrators
  • Ability to sell in person, and over phone/video is required
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by engaging schools and districts throughout your territory
  • Develop relationships with decision-makers and build a pipeline of opportunities
  • Convert leads into successful, long-term partnerships
  • Generate leads by connecting with schools and districts across Northern California, exploring new opportunities and nurturing existing relationships
  • Assess leads based on their budget, decision-making authority, needs, and timeline to ensure a smooth sales process
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets, acquiring new school customers while benefiting from uncapped commission potential
  • Confidently pitch and close deals virtually and in-person, engaging key decision-makers at both the school and district levels
  • Optimize the sales process through diligent pipeline management, activity tracking, and forecasting, ensuring consistent progress toward targets
  • Share insights and successes with the broader team, contributing to our collective knowledge and improving our sales strategies

Experience as an educator or in a similar role within the education sector
