Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Business/Finance/Accounting from University/College
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial management

Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable in QuickBooks for multiple business entities
• Coordinating and proposing weekly vendor payments
• Accounts payable process cycle including invoice review and processing, credit card reconciliation and expense compliance
• Adhering to month end close procedures which include preparing monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciling to general ledger, subledgers, accrued liabilities, prepaid and non-current assets
• Responsible for meeting with business leads to ensure accuracy in monthly reporting
• Assisting in establishing, upholding, and reviewing financial controls and guidelines
• Assisting in the annual audit process by providing required documents to external auditors
• Complying with administering payments and reports for local, state, and federal taxes
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process

Preferred Qualifications

• Working towards an accounting designation (CPA) considered an asset
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online considered an asset
• Firm understanding of various payment methods (Wire payments, ACH/EFT, other third-party services such as PayPal)
