Accountant

You will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, and financial statement preparation. The role requires experience in accounting, proficiency in accounting software (especially DATEV), and excellent communication skills in German and English. Requirements

• Have experience in an accounting role, preferably within an audit firm, a professional services firm or in a technology-driven environment
• Possess excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
• Be proficient in accounting software (esp. DATEV) and have advanced Excel skills
• Be reliable and detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English (business fluent, C1–C2)
• Hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all aspects of ongoing financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, preliminary VAT return and contract administration
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a monthly basis
• Implement and control financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations and reporting requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements, e.g. through automation in DATEV
