Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, with comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles
  • Familiarity with Australian tax and payroll regulations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth trajectory
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded
  • Complete regular reconciliation of accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) quarterly, ensuring compliance with ATO requirements
  • Handle GST and PAYG obligations accurately and on time
  • Manage weekly/monthly payroll, process employee wages, and handle superannuation contributions
  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation
  • Manage Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) transactions, maintaining compliance and accurate documentation
  • Generate monthly financial reports, providing insights on key financial metrics
  • Contribute to budget forecasts, assisting in financial planning and strategy
  • Support the management team by preparing cash flow and profitability projections

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with XEROโ€ฏis highly preferred
  • Prior experience in the Australian solar industryโ€ฏor similar field is a strong advantage (only a plus but not required)
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • High level of integrity and accountability
