This permanent, full-time, remote position requires at least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience with Australian companies. Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office is essential, along with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A CPA or relevant certification is a plus. The role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing financial statements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Prior experience working with Australian companies is required
  • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office (required)
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Stable internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download speed
  • Must have own IT equipment (computer/laptop, headset, and other necessary peripherals)

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and management of accounting systems, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Regular accounts payable and receivable management, including accurate invoicing and payment tracking
  • Ensure timely processing of payroll and liabilities, maintaining precise payroll records
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
  • Provide monthly financial statements and management reporting
  • Liaise with clients to address financial queries and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and due dates for payments and statements
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents when needed
  • Use accounting tools such as Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office to complete tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or relevant certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with the investment, finance, or asset management sector (nice to have)
