Summary

The job is for a remote Accounting position offering a salary between $8 to $12 per hour with full-time work (40 hours/week) in PST hours. Requirements

• Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and other financial management tools proficiently, advanced excel skills (well versed in V&XLookup, pivot tables, data cleansing etc)
• Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to special projects as needed, such as system implementations or process enhancements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or others)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Payroll: Assist with running payroll by weekly
• Accounts Payable: Process and record accounts payable transactions, verify and reconcile vendor invoices, prepare and process payments to vendors
• General Ledger Maintenance: Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare adjusting journal entries as needed, assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Track and update budget and forecast monthly, work with other departments to gather relevant information for budgeting purposes
• Compliance: Assist Finance manager to comply with financial regulations and standards
• Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses, investigate and report on variances from budget
