Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with solid knowledge of accounting principles and computer-based systems
• Strong grasp of general accounting principles, attention to detail, and comfort with numbers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate to advanced skills); experience with Dealer Management software is a bonus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Calculate truck sales transactions and commissions for our Sales team
• Assist the Accounts Payable team with GL coding
• Investigate and correct account discrepancies
• Help prepare monthly and annual financial statements
• Assist in the budget preparation and monthly variance analysis
• Serve as a liaison between various internal departments and external parties (auditors, vendors, etc.) to provide needed support
• Understand and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, gathering the necessary documentation
• Perform general accounting duties with accuracy and in a timely manner
