Accounting Clerk

Summary

The job is for an Accounting Clerk who will manage purchasing, accounts payable & receivables, billing, document management, payroll processing, and utilize PowerPoints and Excel. The candidate should have proven experience as a Bookkeeping assistant or similar role, proficiency in accounting software, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeping assistant or in a similar role
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors to manage purchase orders and negotiate favorable terms
• Process incoming invoices accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate with suppliers and clients to resolve payment discrepancies
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements on a regular basis
• Generate invoices promptly and accurately
• Maintain billing records and ensure compliance with invoicing procedures
• Organize and maintain financial documents and records in a systematic manner
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as needed
• Assist in processing payroll for employees accurately and on time
• Engage in negotiation calls with clients to address their concerns and retain their business

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a virtual or remote environment is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
