Summary
Join Booksy's Finance department as an Accounting Director to oversee and manage global accounting teams. You will directly supervise teams and procedures across all Booksy companies, playing an integral role within the Controllership team. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, implementing and improving accounting processes, managing external audits, and ensuring compliance. You will also prepare financial reports, develop internal controls, optimize workflows, mentor the team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is a strategic role supporting Finance Leadership, reporting to the VP Global Controller. The position offers flexible working hours, remote work options, and a collaborative international environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership positions
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Chartered Accountant and/or Certified Public Accountant
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems to support company growth
- Managing the company’s external audit processes, collaborating with relevant external stakeholders and ensuring all documentation is prepared and presented accurately
- Ensure compliance with all debt covenants, financial regulations and standards
- Review accounting memos to document complex transactions and technical accounting matters
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders including audit committee reports
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and endure financial statement accuracy
- Drive initiatives to optimize accounting workflows and enhance financial efficiency
- Mentoring and developing a global team of accounting professionals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Experience working is a fast-growth organization in a related industry (SaaS, Marketplace, broader tech)
