Accounting Operations Lead

Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 6+ years experience in accounting
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
• Experience working with international operations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to quickly learn new tools as needed and solve new problems continuously
• A high degree of independence and the ability to work effectively with limited supervision
• Flexibility to accommodate meetings with staff/vendors overseas

Responsibilities

• Perform full cycle accounting and reporting for assigned subsidiaries
• Prepare/review monthly close reconciliations and variance analysis
• Understand indirect taxes, transfer pricing and other accounting issues in assigned countries
• Support field exploration teams by preparing project reports and analysis of fieldwork expenses
• Prepare and/or review all necessary monthly/quarterly/annual filings and reports for subsidiaries
• Perform corporate allocations and transfer pricing entries
• Assist with annual audits for parent company and subsidiaries
• Determine what needs to be done to begin operations in new jurisdictions and make it happen
• Implement and maintain new processes as the company grows
• Provide support for miscellaneous projects in accounting and operations
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounting for joint ventures
• Experience with technology or natural resource companies
