Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 3+ years of experience related experience
- Working knowledge of accounting principles following US GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manipulate large datasets and ensure data integrity
- Ability to apply critical thinking and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and a growth mindset
Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly close process
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Create and distribute monthly client billing
- Lead the accounts receivable collection process
- Serve as the primary contact for A/R inquiries
- Process cash applications
- Manage daily client communication inbox
- Collaborate with the Client Services Team on collection issues
- Escalate troubled accounts to senior management
- Process Accounts Payable invoices
- Manage the Accounts Payable checklist
- Facilitate new vendor setups
- Research and resolve payable disputes
- Research and record unrecorded liabilities
- Support annual external audit requirements and diligence requests
- File monthly or quarterly sales tax reports to taxing authorities where nexus has been established
- Maintain internal control integrity, documentation, and compliance
- Develop new controls to resolve identified weaknesses
- Facilitate post-merger integrations of recent acquisitions
- Provide system support for NetSuite, Bill.com and YayPay
- Assist in the implementation of automated workflows
- Effectively communicate financial information
- Build relationships across multiple teams to foster collaboration
