Accounts Payable Assistant

Summary

The job is for an Accounts Payable Assistant in a luxury travel company, The Scenic Group. The role involves managing accounts payable for ocean and river cruises, reconciling vendor statements, preparing documents for external auditors, among other responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have a completed degree in accounting or commercial studies, at least 3 years of experience in accounting positions, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and strong analytical skills.

Requirements

• A completed degree in accounting and/or commercial degree
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting positions
• Experienced working in a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willing to take ownership, hands-on, persistent, meet deadlines, team-oriented personality

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable for Ocean & River Cruises
• Reconciliation of vendor statements
• Review & follow-up of Accounts Payable Aging Reports
• Responsible for Credit Card and Expense reports
• Monitoring of bank transactions
• Support in cost controlling and margin analysis
• Prepare documents for external auditors
• Ad-hoc inquiries and projects

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in SAGE300 and/or Oracle NetSuite is a plus
