Accounts Payable Specialist

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process invoices for payment while ensuring proper coding and approvals
• Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact details and payment terms
• Handle vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner
• Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, and check payments
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with monthly close processes
• Assist in audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed
• Generate reports for management, including aging analysis and payment summaries

Preferred Qualifications

• An interest in the fantasy/sportsbetting industry
• Experience with a procurement software (e.g., Zip, Coupa, etc.)
• Familiarity with credit card reimbursement and employee expense review systems (e.g., Ramp)
