Summary
Join Underdog, the fastest-growing sports gaming company, as an Accounts Payable Specialist! You will play a crucial role in processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate financial records. This position requires strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process invoices for payment while ensuring proper coding and approvals
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact details and payment terms
- Handle vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, and check payments
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with monthly close processes
- Assist in audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed
- Generate reports for management, including aging analysis and payment summaries
Preferred Qualifications
- An interest in the fantasy/sportsbetting industry
- Experience with a procurement software (e.g., Zip, Coupa, etc.)
- Familiarity with credit card reimbursement and employee expense review systems (e.g., Ramp)
