Applications Support Engineer

Summary

Join Sword as an Applications Engineer with OSI PI systems experience and contribute to driving real transformation change within clients in the Energy, Public and Finance Sectors.

Requirements

• Previous extensive experience as an Applications Engineer
• Experience working and liaising closely with vendors and has the ability to keep them on track
• Familiar with Agile & DevOps
• Fast learner and delivery-focused

Responsibilities

• Support and manage customer's portfolio of applications and systems to support a wide range of critical business processes
• Experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios, with a knowledge of SQL, Oracle and necessary database interfaces
• Analytical skills
• Application interoperability, integration, data flows, functionality overlap
• Real-time data / PI knowledge/understanding
• Database knowledge
• Automation/scripting skills: csharp, Python (desirable)
• Reporting
