Billing & Collection Specialist

Summary

Join Juniper Square as a Billing and Collections Specialist and play a critical role in our accounting team. Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in a customer-facing role, such as customer service, account management, or project coordination, or 2+ years of experience in a billing or billing-related role
• Proven proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in billing data with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving
• Ability to adapt to evolving client contract terms and internal processes
• Ability to quickly analyze information and make sound decisions in response to time-sensitive billing inquiries

Responsibilities

• Own the billing process for clients, ensuring accurate invoicing based on contract terms
• Handle accounts receivable, managing the collections process, and working with customers to resolve outstanding balances
• Maintain and update customer billing details in the system, ensuring accuracy
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Fund Accounting and Customer Success, to resolve billing and payment issues
• Assist the Billing Manager in streamlining processes and supporting automation efforts
• Participate in month-end close processes, providing support with reconciliations and accounts receivable analysis
• Address billing-related inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions to enhance the billing workflow

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Zone Billing, NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus
