Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role
  • Strong knowledge of billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and SaaS billing platforms like Subscript
  • Familiarity with Payroll system (Rippling)
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards in the US
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or consulting environment
  • Familiarity with subscription-based billing models
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial reporting

Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, and send invoices to clients on a regular billing cycle
  • Set up billing schedules for new and recurring customers using Subscript and other billing software
  • Address billing-related inquiries or discrepancies in collaboration with the finance and client success teams
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections
  • Resolve payment issues and discrepancies efficiently, maintaining positive client relationships
  • Prepare monthly billing and AR reports for senior leadership review
  • Utilize tools such as Divvy, QuickBooks, and Mercury (transitioning to Bill.com ) for managing accounts and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
  • Maintain detailed and audit-ready records of all billing and collection activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oversee offer letters and manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Update the cash flow forecast on a weekly basis
  • Revise and maintain the financial model monthly or as needed
  • Administer equity awards and grants through Carta
