Summary

Join Connected International, Inc. as their Brand Manager and lead the development and management of their brand image and presence in the dynamic cannabis market. You will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive brand strategies, managing marketing campaigns, overseeing product launches, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and data analysis skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of brand management experience, preferably in a regulated industry. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of brand management experience, preferably in the cannabis, pharmaceutical, alcohol, or related regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of the cannabis market, consumer trends, and legal landscape
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
  • Creative mindset with a strong ability to think strategically and execute effectively
  • Valid CA Drivers License

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that includes market analysis, brand positioning, and consumer insights specific to the cannabis industry
  • Lead creative campaigns from concept through execution, ensuring they meet market needs and compliance standards. Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments as needed
  • Initiate the launch of new products and strains, coordinating with marketing operations manager, and other relevant departments including cultivation, production, and sales teams to ensure a successful rollout and market reception
  • Create and manage marketing materials for trade shows, events, sales pitches, and partner retailers, ensuring they are compelling, informative, and compliant with cannabis advertising regulations
  • Work closely with the sales and field teams as well as key retail partners to understand market demands, foster partnerships and develop strategies that drive sales and brand loyalty
  • Stay updated with cannabis laws and regulations to ensure all branding and marketing efforts are compliant. Educate the team on regulatory changes and best practices. Work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and legal to ensure timely review on all launches and events associated with brands
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on brand performance, market trends, and campaign results to marketing team and senior management
  • Work with Senior Director of Marketing on conducting and analyzing consumer research to understand customer preferences, behaviors, and feedback. Utilize this data to refine marketing strategies and product offerings
  • Keep a pulse on competitors’ activities, industry trends, and market conditions from sales/ field, report to the marketing team and to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge
  • Overall Execution of Brand Marketing: This includes social media, community building, content creation ideas, event strategy, email/text-based marketing, agency liaisons, and campaigns
  • Support annual operating plan and long-term strategic planning by keeping brand calendars up to date with Senior Director of Marketing, including pitching ideas for key programming associated with holidays and cannabis retail calendar days
  • Ownership and management of our digital assets library Brandfolder, including the creation of training materials for the sales team to use in daily operations
  • Additional responsibilities as required by key stakeholders and immediate supervisor to ensure success across the brands

Preferred Qualifications

  • A background in botanical sciences or a cannabis-related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, G-suite, Slack and experience with marketing automation tools
