Summary
Join Pivot, an NRTC company, as a Business Development Account Executive and drive revenue growth through a full-cycle sales approach. This dynamic role combines hunting for new prospects in the telecom and utility industries with farming existing client relationships. You will be responsible for achieving revenue quotas, preparing action plans, delivering presentations, and collaborating with internal experts. Success requires strong communication, sales, and relationship-building skills, along with proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and a CRM system. The position offers a blend of remote work and occasional travel.
Requirements
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience working within a CRM, preferably HubSpot and/or NetSuite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in developing and closing sales leads, preferably in the telecom and/or electric utility industries
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform in a high-paced work environment
- Demonstrate persistence and the ability to overcome obstacles
- Ability to make professional sales presentations to C-Level Executives and groups of all sizes
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients
- A true team player that thrives on being a part of something bigger than themselves
- Must possess a high level of initiative, and a can-do attitude focused on the client’s needs
- Must be a creative problem solver resulting in delivering an exceptional client experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Communications, Management, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed the position’s annual revenue quota using both consultative and relational selling skills
- Prepare daily/weekly/quarterly and annual action plans to achieve and exceed annual targets
- Deliver presentations, proposals and price quotes to qualified prospects and clients
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work industry-based tradeshows and events, including tradeshow booth participation
- Work collaboratively with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure proper client offerings
- Adhere to the Pivot Sales Process and Pivot’s Customer Experience responsibilities
- Embody Pivot’s Core Value Statement, practices, and standards
- Work independently without constant direction or direct supervision
- Track and monitor all activities and opportunities within Pivot’s CRM System
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in selling professional services is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management preferred
