Join a leading commercial real estate firm as their Business Development Executive! This remote position, with expected travel, focuses on driving growth and revenue expansion for their General Contracting business in the Southeastern US. You will develop and execute comprehensive business growth strategies, conduct market research, build client relationships with Architects, Engineers, and Developers, and generate a strong sales pipeline. Success in this role requires proven revenue growth experience, excellent communication skills, and strong networking abilities. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and established industry connections. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- 3 or more yearsโ experience in business development, sales, or related field, preferably in the construction, general contracting or property development industries
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong networking abilities and a broad industry network
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans
- Adept at working independently and remotely
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, sales tools, and analytics software
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business growth strategy aligned with the company goals and objectives
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes
- Initiate, build and maintain long-term client relationships with Architects, Engineers, and Developers, understanding their needs and aligning our services accordingly
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, ensuring revenue targets are met
- Generate a strong sales pipeline, identifying and engaging key decision-makers
- Oversee the creation of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new business and bid opportunities
- Manage budgets and financial targets related to business development initiatives
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, client meetings and networking opportunities to build brand recognition and establish new relationships
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and revenue generation to leadership
- Initiate in-person activities with key clients (dinners, lunches) to build relationships and gain industry news and information
- Ability to travel as needed for trade shows, industry conferences, bid pitches and client meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Established network within the commercial construction, general contracting or property development industries
- Experience in sales for commercial real estate or a construction related field
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for innovation and growth
