Join risr/, a rapidly growing education and software company, as a Business Development professional based remotely in Australia. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary ($100,000-$110,000 plus super and profit share) and focuses on driving business growth within the medical and health professional education sectors. You will be responsible for market research, lead generation, relationship building, and proposal development. Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in Business Development - ideally within Software as a Service (SaaS), focused on delivering solutions related to higher education or health professional education
- Digital Transformation exposure utilising SaaS solutions and services
- Experience networking with people in eAssessment and education software for higher education or health professional education
- Proven understanding of commercial decision-making
- Knowledge of the Asia-Pacific region's education and business landscape, trends, challenges, opportunities, buying styles, behaviours, practices and approaches
- Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer high-level strategy/objectives
- Skills to build a pipeline of qualified opportunities and to continuously identify and develop areas to campaign or build strategic growth plans
- The ability to take a collaborative approach to sales and relationship building
Responsibilities
- Identify new market opportunities and potential customer groups
- Develop strategies to attract new customers in new and current markets and follow up on inbound leads
- Establish connections with potential customers and industry influencers
- Prepare tailored, high-quality and detailed proposals and presentations for prospective customers and bid requirements
- Work on new business from lead generation through to business acquisition, order placement and commercial agreement
- Work closely with the risr/ marketing team to align and develop strategies and campaigns
- Ensure a smooth transition through the sales pipeline into implementation by documenting and communicating key details, expectations, and nuances about the customer’s needs
- Represent risr/ at conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Maintain a good understanding of risr/ products to articulate our SaaS solutions' unique functionality and benefits clearly
- Provide insights on market needs and trends to inform product development at a high level through the appropriate channels
- Build and maintain close relationships with your colleagues and team to work within a self-managed team
- Meet targets related to bringing in suitable new customers from new and existing markets
- Contribute to risr/’s overall revenue through new business
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, logging, maintaining and progressing leads and opportunities
- Provide regular updates on business development activities and outcomes to risr/ using synchronous and asynchronous methods
- Utilise a central platform to consistently manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and lead tracking to customer onboarding and ongoing relationship management, to ensure all customer interactions, sales activities and project timelines are tracked and kept up to date to promote cross-team collaboration, consistency and transparency
