Summary

Join Outside GC, a leading provider of on-demand general counsel services, as a Business Development Director. You will leverage your strategic selling and relationship-building skills to expand our client base of General Counsels and Legal Departments in Enterprise companies. This role involves driving revenue growth by establishing strategic relationships, finding and closing new business, and following a repeatable sales process. You will need to build your network using various tools and collaborate with our team. Success requires meeting weekly/daily metrics and consistently achieving quota. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and experience selling professional services to executive teams and corporate legal departments.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years selling to C-Level Executives and/or Legal Departments with a proven track record of exceeding sales quota
  • A bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree (MBA or JD) a plus
  • Experience selling professional services to an executive team and/or a corporate legal department required
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to make cold calls and book meetings
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
  • Effective presentation, organization, and time management skills
  • A creative and resilient, process-oriented team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High energy and a positive can-do attitude with excellent customer-focus and appreciation for serving as a brand ambassador for the organization
  • The ability to travel on limited basis

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close target new business accounts based on our Ideal Client Profile (ICP) with focused sales to General Counsels and/or Legal Operations heads at target accounts
  • Gain an understanding of OGC’s service and sector areas and our Unique Value Proposition (UVP) within the legal services industry
  • Collaborate with services and sectors attorneys to better understand the OGC UVP for prospects
  • Develop and maintain knowledge regarding the changing legal landscape and issues faced by our potential clients
  • Build and execute targeted prospecting campaigns leveraging a multi-channel approach that complements our marketing efforts
  • Maintain the minimum weekly/daily metrics, and ensure quota is met consistently
  • Produce accurate and timely forecasts
  • Accurately report and manage data through our CRM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and familiarity with technology, pharma, biotech, med tech, or e-commerce verticals a strong plus
  • Specific system experience is a plus: HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo and Microsoft Suite
