Summary

Join Eleks' COVERE² team as a Business Development Manager and contribute to a transformative sustainability project across the European Union. This role focuses on engaging companies in diverse industries to adopt COVERE²'s sustainability solutions, including assessments, reporting, and training. You will leverage your sales expertise and EU market knowledge to grow COVERE²'s impact. The ideal candidate possesses strong sales experience in the sustainability domain, EU market knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the sustainability domain, preferably sustainability services, with a history of achieving targets
  • Experience working with or selling to businesses in the EU, ideally across multiple sectors
  • An Advanced level of English (written and spoken) is essential
  • Proficiency in at least one additional European language (Spanish, German, French, Polish, or Italian) to connect with a wider audience
  • Willingness to travel across the EU approximately once per month for client meetings and events
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, adept at engaging diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure clients across multiple sectors, pitching COVERE²’s sustainability services to meet their environmental and regulatory needs; plan and execute outbound and inbound sales campaigns
  • In collaboration with the marketing team, develop a steady pipeline of leads through networking, outreach, and participation in industry events (e.g., sustainability forums, trade fairs)
  • Communicate the value of COVERE²’s offerings, from emissions tracking to regulatory compliance, adapting pitches to various industries
  • Build lasting client partnerships, ensuring satisfaction and spotting opportunities to introduce additional sustainability services
  • Partner with the COVERE² technical, consulting, and marketing teams to refine strategies and share market insights, while leveraging an existing network of partners to establish direct connections with key clients
  • Conduct frequent in-person meetings and presentations across the EU, up to 30 percent
  • Monitor sales progress, maintain accurate records, and update the COVERE² leadership team regularly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with EU sustainability regulations, such as the CSRD, ESRS, or Green Claims Directive, is a plus, along with an interest in compliance and its evolving impact on businesses
  • Ability to discuss data-driven sustainability tools with clients confidently
  • Established contacts in EU industries or sustainability circles to jumpstart outreach
  • Experience or education in sustainability, environmental science, or related areas (e.g., ESG, emissions reduction) is highly desirable
