Join ZigZag Global as their first Business Development Manager in Spain, leading their market expansion. This permanent, full-time, remote role based in Madrid or a commutable distance requires strong contacts in e-commerce, logistics, and retail. You will develop and execute a strategic business development plan, identify and secure partnerships, and represent ZigZag in Spain. The successful candidate will have extensive new business development experience, a proven track record in solution selling, and fluency in Spanish and English. Requirements
- Extensive experience in new business development, with a strong network in ecommerce, logistics, or retail
- Proven track record in solution selling, ideally within a SaaS or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of the Spanish market, including key players, trends, and challenges
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Ability to travel as needed to meet prospects and attend industry events
Responsibilities
- Lead our entry into the Spanish market, building our brand and presence from the ground up
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan, targeting key players in ecommerce, logistics, and retail
- Working closely with the Marketing & SDR teams to establish outreach programmes, thought leadership and promotional activity
- Identify, engage, and convert prospects into long-term business partners
- Create and deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and value propositions tailored to the Spanish market
- Represent customer needs internally and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth onboarding and implementation process
- Act as the face of the company in Spain, attending industry events and networking to establish strong business relationships
- Continuously track and analyse market trends and competitor activity, providing insights to shape our strategy
- Work closely with the UK Commercial Director, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, driving revenue and sustainable growth
