Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for trade shows, industry events, key client meetings, and other business-related activities
  • A scrappy and resourceful drive with a proven ability to overcome obstacles and produce results alongside our winning sales culture
  • Strong listening skills, an openness to guidance, and a proactive approach to executing tasks as directed
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting with minimal oversight
  • Consistently and naturally demonstrates high levels of empathy and emotional intelligence

Responsibilities

  • Leverage independent research and collaboration with regional reps and referral partners to identify potential prospects within the industry
  • Conduct initial outreach to prospects via phone calls, emails, and social media
  • Qualify leads by assessing interest, needs, budget, decision-making authority, and purchase timeline
  • Schedule meetings for the Director of Business Development using virtual collaboration/communication tools (Calendly, Zoom)
  • Gradually assume responsibility for early-stage sales calls for small-to-mid-sized prospective accounts
  • Conduct follow-up communications following prospect meetings, industry events, marketing campaigns, or other business development activities
  • Keep our CRM (Pipedrive) and other company records (DocSend, Notion, G-Suite) organized and running like a well-oiled machine
  • Collaborate with the B2B marketing team to refine strategies that attract our target audience
  • Manage all internal business development Slack channels to ensure messages are read and responded to within a timely manner
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities in order to anticipate and adapt to market changes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the ‘Custom Integration’ (professional home technology) industry
  • Understanding of the professional home technology industry
  • Passion for home technology/consumer electronics
