Business Development Representative

Summary

The job is for a remote Business Development Representative (BDR) at VerityData. The role involves sourcing opportunities for the sales team, cold-calling, emailing, qualifying leads, explaining the value proposition, meeting sales quotas, collaborating with marketing teams, and using Salesforce. The candidate should have a bachelor's degree, 0-2 years of sales experience (preferably in SaaS sales), strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of SEC Filings, proficiency with Salesforce, a competitive mindset, strong work ethic, detail orientation, integrity, emotional intelligence, analytical rigor, entrepreneurial mindset, and humility.

Requirements

• Able to work remotely in Eastern or Central timezone
• Bachelor’s degree
• 0-2 years of sales experience (SaaS sales is a plus)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledgable on SEC Filings (10-K, 10-Q, earnings transcripts, etc.)
• Proficiency with Salesforce a plus
• Highly competitive and coachable
• Strong work ethic, detail oriented with a high level of integrity and emotional intelligence

Responsibilities

• Sourcing opportunities for the sales team
• Cold-calling, emailing, and other forms of outreach to prospective clients
• Qualifying leads
• Concisely explaining VerityData value proposition to sales prospects
• Meeting and exceeding sales quotas and objectives
• Track and monitor leads in CRM
• Collaborate with marketing team in developing innovative outreach campaigns
• Assist sales and marketing teammates with client and prospecting events
