We are seeking a full-time, remotely based Business Development Representative in Northern Ireland to contribute to our commercial success. This role involves researching potential leads, identifying commercial opportunities, and building relationships with internal and external customers. You will develop and implement new business strategies, represent MMS professionally, and support departmental objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a college degree in a relevant field, 0-2 years of sales experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Requirements

  • College graduate in Business, Sales, or related degree program
  • 0-2 years experience in direct sales, business development, or similar field
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work with others to clearly understand needs and solve problems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of CROs, and scientific and clinical data/ terminology, and the drug development process
  • Learn to be proficient with Sales Applications: Dynamics 365 CRM, Zymewire, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, as applicable, and other sales tools, as applicable

Responsibilities

  • Gain understanding between current role and the organization’s business and commercial objectives. Gain basic proficiency of the competitor environment and can input to the commercial rationale for various product and service propositions
  • Research potential leads and obtain additional information on clients or on the needs of customer organizations. Identify commercial opportunities via industry readings, internet searches, analysts’ reports, etc
  • Represent MMS as a trusted partner to others. Understand the need to develop a network of contacts in targeted, potential customer organizations
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Gain understanding of: Identifying contacts/ leads to match client profiles defined by Line Manager or Mentor
  • How to effectively manage priorities, with guidance from a Line Manager
  • Organizing and maintaining records related to contacts, leads, meetings, follow-up tasks, and client/ campaign specific deliverables effectively and efficiently
  • Focus on producing different types of leads and finding business in new markets, including substantial initial contact/cold-calling
  • Under guidance from a senior team member, develop, present, and implement new strategies for qualifying new business
  • Represent self and company in a professional manner and in line with core company values
  • Practice excellent internal and external customer service, communication, and teamwork
  • Support objectives and improvement efforts within department and organizationally
  • Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and training requirements
  • Additional tasks as assigned by Line Manager

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of scientific principles or concepts a plus
  • Hands-on experience with clinical trial and pharmaceutical development preferred
