Chief Financial Officer

Summary

The job is for a Chief Financial Officer in a healthcare company with a mission to empower patients. The role involves financial planning, analysis, fundraising, risk management, and compliance. The position is primarily remote with some presence in Denver, Colorado.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CFO in a similar executive finance leadership role in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Strategic thinker with excellent problem solving skills - Healthcare experience a plus and experience in Medicare/reimbursement or familiarity with Medicare a plus
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead an effective finance team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all company stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate financial data and metrics, with a deep understanding of finance analytics and tools
• Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong business acumen and financial acuity, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision making

Responsibilities

• Drive the company’s financial strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives
• Lead and manage the finance team and outsourced accounting team
• Collaborate with other executives to develop and implement the company’s overall business strategy
• Create and manage a financial plan and budget, allocating resources effectively
• Analyze and evaluate financial performance, identifying opportunities for growth, optimization, and risk mitigation
• Oversee financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, audit, compliance, and treasury
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investors, lenders, and vendors
• Ensure financial policies and procedures are in place and adhered to
• Control and evaluate the company’s fundraising plans and capital structure
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the company’s operations
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
• Ensure compliance with external commercial bank loan

Experience in fundraising and M&A is a plus
