Summary
Join Perry Street Software, the creators of Jack'd, SCRUFF, and BKDR.com, as their part-time Community & Digital Marketing Manager! This remote role, based in NYC, Atlanta, or Miami, focuses on building and nurturing online communities within the Jack'd app. You will develop and execute digital marketing strategies across social media, create engaging content, forge strategic partnerships, and manage the marketing budget. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in social media management, community building, or digital marketing, preferably within the LGBTQ+ space. This is a part-time position (20-30 hours/week) with an hourly rate of $30-40.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in social media management, community building, and/or digital marketing, preferably within the LGBTQ+ space
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns and achieve measurable results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for storytelling and community engagement
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing best practices
- Experience working with influencers and building strategic partnerships
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual aesthetics
- Data-driven approach to marketing, with the ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights
- Deep understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and its diverse subcultures
- Experience with paid social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Business Manager, Snap Ads)
Responsibilities
- Identify and strategically partner with relevant events (nightlife, festivals, arts, Pride celebrations, etc.) in target markets to enhance Jack'd's visibility and user acquisition
- Negotiate sponsorship opportunities and manage event logistics, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing brand impact
- Cultivate relationships with key community influencers and organizations to amplify Jack'd's message and reach
- Develop and implement community-focused initiatives that foster connection and belonging within the Jack'd app and beyond
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy across key social media platforms (and potentially other channels)
- Create and curate engaging organic content that resonates with the Jack'd community, collaborating with the marketing team on paid campaigns
- Manage the Jack'd US social media calendar, ensuring consistent brand messaging and timely content delivery
- Monitor social media trends, analyze performance metrics, and optimize strategies to achieve KPIs
- Collaborate with the product team on in-app marketing campaigns to promote new features and drive user engagement
- Oversee brand building initiatives, including third-party partnerships, sponsorships, and integrated marketing programs
- Research and identify potential strategic online and offline marketing partners to expand Jack'd's reach
- Collaborate on the creative direction of marketing materials, ensuring a consistent and authentic brand aesthetic
- Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate Jack'd within the market
- Conduct market research to understand the evolving needs and preferences of the LGBTQ+ community
- Analyze data to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and inform marketing strategies
- Stay informed about competitor activities and industry best practices
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and maximizing ROI
- Collaborate with the finance team to process vendor payments and manage contracts
