Summary

Join Moms First as a Community Manager and lead the growth and development of our digital community for moms. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in community management or related fields, you will design, implement, and manage our premier digital home for moms, build relationships with members, create resources, and drive community engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in community management, digital organizing, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of grassroots movements and community building
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build high-trust relationships with diverse community members
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools and CRMs, with a preference for candidates with experience using Every Action and Mobilize
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content, including campaigns to drive collective action and virtual events
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of using data and insights to improve products and/or programs
  • Team player with a flexible, creative, and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Committed to the mission of finishing the fight for women’s equality

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement program strategy to grow the Motherhood into the largest, most powerful movement for moms in America
  • Design, launch, and manage our premier digital home for moms to build community on and offline, access resources, and create change
  • Ongoing recruitment and management of volunteers
  • Implement community guidelines and moderation policies to ensure respectful and constructive interactions
  • Listen, learn, and build relationships with members of the Motherhood to build trust and inform the creation of new products, resources, and campaigns
  • Create and launch resources, workshops, and more to empower moms to take actions in their workplaces and communities
  • Project manage digital campaigns end-to-end with tangible CTAs that drive impact for our moms
  • Organize and host virtual and in-person events to drive community engagement, including moms’ participation in our annual Moms First Summit
  • Develop and distribute Motherhood-related communications, including newsletters and promotional materials
  • Analyze metrics and feedback to identify trends, measure the success of community initiatives, and inform overall grassroots strategy
  • In collaboration with the Communications team, curate content to stimulate community
