Summary
Join SpecterOps as a Community Manager and leverage your cybersecurity expertise and passion for open-source communities. This remote role, based in the US or UK, involves creating engaging content (articles, videos, tutorials), managing social media, and fostering a collaborative environment. You will bridge SpecterOps with the broader security community, driving adoption of open-source products and highlighting the company's research and services. The position requires strong communication skills, experience with open-source tools (especially BloodHound), and the ability to analyze community metrics. Requirements
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
- Experience with open-source security tools, particularly BloodHound, is highly desirable
- The ideal candidate is an active contributor to one or more open-source identity or cybersecurity products
- Proven ability to create engaging written and visual content
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, both online and in-person
- Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and executing successful engagement strategies
- Ability to analyze community metrics and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Collaborative attitude with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage relationships within the open-source security community, responding to inquiries, moderating discussions, and fostering a collaborative environment across various platforms
- Cross-promote the benefits of SpecterOps-managed open-source products to existing users, with a goal of increasing overall downloads and usage
- Develop high-quality content, including technical articles, tutorials, demos, and videos, to educate and engage the community
- Collaborate with internal product, marketing and research teams to produce materials that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strategize and execute social media campaigns to increase the visibility of BloodHound Community Edition and SpecterOps open-source tools
- Monitor trends and conversations in the cybersecurity space to inform content and engagement strategies
- Monitor opportunities for SpecterOps at open-source conferences, community meetups, webinars, and podcasts
- Organize events that promote knowledge sharing and community building, in collaboration with internal and external teams & groups
- Gather and analyze feedback from the community to inform product development and improvement
- Advocate for community needs within the organization to ensure our offerings align with user expectations
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and support teams to align community initiatives with business objectives
- Provide insights and recommendations based on community interactions and feedback
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with video production and editing tools is a plus
- The ideal candidate has a blog or YouTube channel that resonates with the security community
- The ideal candidate has a track record of building a following in the security community
