Summary

Join Precision AQ as a Content Director to lead the development and execution of a high-impact content strategy. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will shape the company's editorial voice and ensure consistency across all content channels. As a seasoned content leader with pharmaceutical industry experience, you will translate complex scientific topics into compelling narratives. Key responsibilities include defining and leading content strategy, managing the content calendar, overseeing content creation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring a team of writers and editors. You will also track content performance and stay informed on industry trends. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of experience (including 3+ years in a leadership role), and proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in editorial, content marketing, or journalism, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries—including familiarity with scientific content, regulatory considerations, and healthcare communications
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of B2B or scientific content
  • Experience working with diverse teams to support large-scale content production and delivery
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead a comprehensive content strategy aligned with brand positioning, campaign goals, and audience needs
  • Establish and uphold editorial standards, voice, and tone across all content formats and channels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content with business priorities and messaging frameworks
  • Manage the content calendar and oversee the creation of content for campaigns, events, digital platforms, and executive communications
  • Produce and edit a variety of content types, including thought leadership articles, white papers, case studies, blog posts, and email copy
  • Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, compliant, and aligned with strategic marketing plans
  • Partner with teams to translate complex data into accessible, audience-appropriate content that supports product and service positioning and education
  • Act as a strategic advisor on content-driven brand positioning and thought leadership initiatives
  • Lead and mentor a team of writers, editors, and freelancers to deliver high-quality content on time and at scale
  • Implement efficient editorial workflows, including planning, review, approvals, and publishing processes
  • Track content performance metrics and audience engagement to inform strategy and improve effectiveness
  • Stay informed on content marketing trends, tools, and best practices, particularly within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns and event-driven content
  • Familiarity with HubSpot
  • Background in medical communications, scientific publishing, or healthcare marketing
