Summary

The job is for a Controller at Woflow, a fast-growing startup in San Francisco that provides data infrastructure for brick and mortar commerce. The role involves managing the accounting team, overseeing all accounting entries, preparing financial reports, and assisting with important financial decisions.

Requirements

• Well versed in full-cycle accounting and US GAAP requirements
• CPA with 3+ years experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm or equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience managing direct reports

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting entries
• Billing and month/quarter end reporting, including MoM trend analysis and KPI monitoring
• Manage the accounting team
• Assist management with financials for monthly and quarterly board meetings and investor updates
• Prepare annual accounts, assist with tax filings, and ensure all financial calendar responsibilities are met
• Participate in process improvements to streamline the monthly financial close process
• Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing systems, upgrades, and automation of accounting processes
• Assist in development and implementation of new policies and procedures
• Assist with financial due diligence when applicable
• Document and monitor internal controls as part of operational accounting work
• Assist with ad-hoc projects
